The devil is in the details when it comes to this solution. Favoured for its easy assembly, installation and 'diverless' retrieval and seabed stability.
Monopile entry system
Combines the best of all CPNL products for a monopile aperture with 'diverless' retrieval
Coated articulated pipe
For poor visibility in water and excellent recognition this articulated pipe with two-component coating even avoids corrosion effectively.
Centraliser cable clamp
The centraliser with integrated cable clamp is designed to the cable with max. 1/3 of allowed sidewall pressure.
A simple design hang-off, with 4 temporary parts and mechanical seals to allow effortless cable retrieval
Cable joint bend restriction
This solution includes cable joint connectors, articulated pipes and end clamps. Additional rigging is also available at CPNL.
What a difference this CPS makes
The idea behind CPS
CPNL prides itself on the reliability of its systems. These systems are designed with three primary criteria in mind;
The solutions are a safe and proven alternative to polymer solutions, offering higher load and tension abilities.
With attention to relevant DNV-GL norms and standards
CPNL designs are created with attention to key points given in the following norms and recommended practices with full review of the documentation by DNV-GL for accuracy:
DNV-OS-J101 – Design of offshore wind turbine structures
DNV-RP-J301 - Recommended Practices for Subsea Power Cables in Shallow Water Renewable Energy Applications
DNV-RP-C203 – Fatigue design of offshore steel structures
DNV-RP-C205 – Environmental conditions and environmental loads
DNV-RP-F401 – Electrical power cables in subsea applications
Focus on all stages of the project
Once installed all proposed protection systems will continue to protect the cable from fatigue and excessive loading for the specified operational lifespan, a fact which is supported by the extensive approvals from DNV-GL for our products.
CPNL systems are designed, and field proven, to exclude further requirement for scour protection or rock dumping in the post installation stage. To date, the systems have been shown to functioned in accordance with no rock dumping requirements in 5 separate projects.
With CPNL systems every aspect is well-considered, which will contribute to a positive experience with our systems offshore. The committed team of CPNL provides a higher level of service and is available at all stages of the project.
