CPNL designs are created with attention to key points given in the following norms and recommended practices with full review of the documentation by DNV-GL for accuracy:

  • DNV-OS-J101 –  Design of offshore wind turbine structures

  • DNV-RP-J301 -   Recommended Practices for Subsea Power Cables in Shallow Water Renewable Energy Applications

  • DNV-RP-C203 – Fatigue design of offshore steel structures

  • DNV-RP-C205 – Environmental conditions and environmental loads

  • DNV-RP-F401 – Electrical power cables in subsea applications

Focus on all stages of the project

Once installed all proposed protection systems will continue to protect the cable from fatigue and excessive loading for the specified operational lifespan, a fact which is supported by the extensive approvals from DNV-GL for our products.

CPNL systems are designed, and field proven, to exclude further requirement for scour protection or rock dumping in the post installation stage. To date, the systems have been shown to functioned in accordance with no rock dumping requirements in  5 separate projects.
